Something to Give Each Other

After a five-year gap since Bloom, Troye Sivan returned with his third studio album Something to Give Each Other on October 13, 2023. The album arrived through EMI Music Australia and Capitol Records, recorded at House Mouse Studios in Stockholm, MXM Studios in Los Angeles, and The Pool Recording Studio in London. Sivan described the project as a celebration of queer joy and intimacy, calling it a kiss on a dancefloor or a crush that turns into a weekend.

The standard edition runs ten tracks across 32 minutes and 40 seconds, blending pop, electropop, and 1990s club influences. Producers including A. G. Cook, Oscar Görres, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Styalz Fuego helped shape its warm, gauzy sound. The album's lead single, Rush, became a global hit, charting in the top ten in Ireland, Croatia, Japan, and several other countries. Follow-up singles Got Me Started and One of Your Girls kept momentum strong, with the latter featuring a deluxe edition remix by Spanish musician Guitarricadelafuente.

Commercially, the album became Sivan's first to top the ARIA Albums Chart in Australia. It reached the top ten in Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom, and debuted at number one on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Critical reception was overwhelmingly positive, earning a Metacritic score of 86. At the 2024 ARIA Music Awards, it won Album of the Year, Best Pop Release, and Best Solo Artist. The album also drew Grammy nominations for Rush and Got Me Started in the Best Dance Pop Recording category at the 66th and 67th ceremonies. [edit]
