Someone Hertz

Mimei is a high school boy who can't land a single joke. Kurage is the sharp-tongued girl in his class who always has a punchline ready. The only thing they share is a secret obsession: a late-night comedy radio show called Someone Hertz. Each week they listen alone, but when Mimei discovers Kurage is also a fan, their quiet admiration turns into a playful rivalry to get their own material read on air.

Ei Yamano launched the series in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in September 2025, and the first collected volume hit shelves on January 5, 2026. As of May 2026, three volumes and 31 chapters have been released, with English chapters published digitally through VIZ Media's Shonen Jump platform. The manga earned a Jump MV on May 1, 2026, featuring a song from familiar names in the industry, signaling the series' growing momentum.

What sets Someone Hertz apart is how it treats radio as a character in its own right. The show's fictional hosts, the callers, the dropped calls, the inside jokes that only regular listeners catch, all of it becomes the texture of Mimei and Kurage's world.
