Solbi

Kwon Ji-an, known professionally as Solbi, arrived in the world on September 30, 1984, in Gyeonggi Province. This multi-talented woman from South Korea has built a career that stretches far beyond the stage. She first stepped into the spotlight in 2006 as part of the K-pop group Typhoon, but her true breakthrough came two years later when she joined the cast of the hit variety show We Got Married. Her chemistry with co-stars turned her into a household name among fans of Korean television. Solbi did not stop at performing. In 2012, she opened her first solo art exhibition, revealing a different side of her creativity to the public. Her work spans painting, sculpture, installation pieces, performance art, and video art. She balances these distinct roles as a singer, television personality, visual artist, and writer without letting one definition limit her. Her journey shows how an entertainer can successfully pivot between live performances and gallery spaces while maintaining a strong personal brand.[edit]
