Simone Biles holds the record for the most World Championship medals (30) and most World gold medals (23) by any gymnast. She is the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast with 11 medals. She is the first woman to land the Yurchenko double pike vault in competition. Biles has been named AP Female Athlete of the Year four times, more than any other athlete. She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2021 and the Arthur Ashe Courage Award in 2022.
