She is best recognized for her time in WWE's NXT division, where she became a fan favorite with her chaotic energy and unique "Final Girl" persona. Following her departure from WWE, she found significant success in MLW, capturing the World Women's Featherweight Championship before moving to TNA in late 2026. Her ability to blend horror themes with athletic prowess has made her a standout figure in the industry. [edit]

Ashley Louise Urbanski grew up in Santa Clara County, California, where her early life was marked by a fascination with the macabre and the supernatural. These interests would later become the foundation for her ring persona. Before stepping into the squared circle, she attended the University of California, though she eventually left to pursue full-time training in martial arts and wrestling. Her upbringing in Northern California provided the backdrop for her start on the independent circuit, where she honed her skills away from the mainstream spotlight.

Her journey began in the mid-2010s when she started competing for regional promotions like Shimmer Women Athletes, Evolve, Rise Wrestling, and Shine Wrestling. During these formative years, she adopted the moniker Shotzi Blackheart and developed a style that mixed technical grappling with explosive aerial maneuvers. She quickly rose through the ranks of the indie scene, winning the Shine Nova Championship around 2016 or 2017. This period was crucial for refining her character, which leaned heavily into punk culture and horror movie tropes, setting the stage for her eventual national breakthrough. [edit]

Shotzi's big break arrived in 2018 when she signed with WWE. She initially performed on the NXT brand, where her energetic promos and unorthodox moves quickly resonated with audiences. Her partnership with Lio Rush created one of the weirdest duos in wrestling history, blending comedy with genuine athleticism. The team competed in high-profile matches against stars like Alexa Bliss and Asuka, solidifying her status as a rising star. In 2019 and 2020, she became a staple on both the main roster and NXT, participating in the Mae Young Classic and engaging in memorable feuds.

In 2021, she transitioned to Major League Wrestling (MLW), where she achieved even greater success. She captured the MLW World Women's Featherweight Championship and headlined shows, proving her ability to carry a promotion. Her tenure in MLW lasted until October 2026, when her contract expired. Shortly after, she signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). She made her debut at TNA Impact tapings in Dothan, Alabama, on October 13, 2026, marking a new chapter in her career with a legacy promotion known for its strong women's division. [edit]
