    About

Launched in October 2021, Shine Post began as a light novel series written by Rakuda and illustrated by Buriki under the Dengeki Bunko imprint. The full title translates to "Hey, Did You Know? The Completely Ordinary, Obvious, and Startling Magic to Make Me an Absolute Idol." This narrative foundation introduced readers to the mechanics of building an idol group from scratch through a story centered on a manager with a mysterious ability who takes over the struggling idol group TiNgS.

Konami Digital Entertainment expanded the property into a mixed-media franchise that includes manga adaptations, a TV anime, music releases, and video games. The anime adaptation aired from July to October 2022 across 12 episodes produced by Studio Kai. Directed by Yūsuke Kawakami with series composition by Rakuda, the show streamed internationally via HIDIVE and later became available on Prime Video.

The franchise currently encompasses five idol groups plus a solo act within its lore. A significant shift occurred when the mobile game Shine Post: Be Your Idol! was cancelled and repositioned as a console title released on the Nintendo Switch 2. Marketing efforts focus on bright, aspirational aesthetics built around the "shine" motif, utilizing music videos and social media channels like X and YouTube to maintain engagement.
