Yuri!!! on Ice

Yuri!!! on Ice arrives as a vibrant sports drama from TV Asahi that blends high-stakes figure skating with genuine emotional depth. Premiering in October 2016 and concluding just two months later, this thirteen-episode series offers a fresh take on the genre by focusing on the psychological weight of competition rather than just the jumps and spins. Creator Mitsurou Kubo and director Sayo Yamamoto crafted a story where the ice rink becomes a stage for vulnerability and growth. The show features standout voice performances, including Toshiyuki Toyonaga as the anxious Yuuri Katsuki and Junichi Suwabe as the charismatic world champion Victor Nikiforov.[edit]
