Yemin, released internationally as The Promise, is a Turkish drama series that premiered on Kanal D in February 2019. The production by Ay Yapım reimagined the concept of a 2007 short-lived iteration to create a sweeping narrative spanning rural Anatolia and modern Istanbul. The story follows Reyhan Çelik, a resilient young woman from a conservative village who becomes entangled in a forbidden romance with Emir Tarhun, the heir to a powerful business empire.

The central conflict arises from an oath made between their fathers years prior, which binds Emir to marry his cousin instead of Reyhan.
