Seven years after a failed climate engineering experiment plunged the Earth into a new ice age, the last survivors of humanity circle the globe aboard the Snowpiercer, a 1,001-car train powered by a perpetual-motion engine. The train is a rigid microcosm of class: the wealthy elite enjoy luxury at the front, while the impoverished Tailies are crammed into squalid conditions at the rear, surviving on protein blocks. The series, created by Graeme Manson and Josh Friedman, premiered on TNT on May 17, 2020, and concluded on AMC on September 22, 2024, after four seasons and 40 episodes.

Daveed Diggs leads as Andre Layton, a detective from the Tail who is pulled forward to investigate a murder, only to become the catalyst for a full-scale rebellion. The show blends dystopian class warfare with mystery and thriller elements, earning a 7.4/10 on IMDb and an 88% average Tomatometer across its run. Critics praised the world-building, Bear McCreary's score, and Diggs's performance, though some felt later seasons stretched the premise. Season Four brings all factions together as the train faces its greatest challenge. The outside world is changing, and the survivors must decide whether to continue the endless loop or break free.
