Kite Man: Hell Yeah!

Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is an adult animated comedy spin-off from Harley Quinn, centering on one of Gotham City's most pathetic supervillains: Charles Brown, aka Kite Man. Created by Patrick Schumacker, Dean Lorey, and Justin Halpern, the Max original premiered on July 18, 2024, and ran for 10 episodes. Matt Oberg reprises his role as the titular Kite Man, a relentlessly optimistic loser whose signature weapon is a kite. The series picks up after Kite Man's failed relationship with Poison Ivy, following him and his new girlfriend, Golden Glider (Stephanie Hsu), as they pool their resources to purchase Noonan's, the seediest dive bar in Gotham.

The voice cast features James Adomian as Bane, Janelle James as the Queen of Fables, and Jonathan Banks as Noonan. The show retains the same irreverent, profane, and ultra-violent tone as its parent series, focusing on D-list villains, washed-up criminals, and desperate henchmen who gather at the bar to drink and scheme. Internally, the show explores Kite Man's deep-seated insecurity and his struggle to be taken seriously as a villain, a boyfriend, and a business owner, while Golden Glider tries to balance her life of crime with her genuine affection for him.

The broad-strokes shape of Season 1 involves the couple acquiring Noonan's, dealing with the Queen of Fables's chaotic magic, and fending off a major criminal takeover of the bar. The season builds toward a crisis that forces Kite Man to confront his own worth, culminating in a high-stakes scheme involving a legendary villain that puts the entire bar in jeopardy.
