Guilty Crown

Set in a fractured Japan under the rule of the GHQ, Guilty Crown follows Shu Ouma, a quiet high school student whose life shatters when he gains the ability to pull weapons known as Voids from the hearts of others. This power lands him squarely in the crossfire between the resistance group Funeral Parlor and the oppressive quasi-government forces. The series aired on Fuji TV from October 2011 to March 2012, running for one season of 24 episodes before concluding its initial run with a second season later that year. Directed by Tetsurō Araki and written by Ichiro Okouchi, the show blends high-stakes mecha action with emotional drama and dystopian sci-fi elements.
