Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu

Set against the turbulent backdrop of the 11th century, Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu chronicles the rise of a young leader who would transform the Seljuk Empire into a dominant force. This historical action drama serves as a prequel to Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu, diving deep into the political machinations and brutal battles that defined Alp Arslan's reign as Sultan. The series brings this epic history to life through high-stakes storytelling and sweeping battle sequences that define the genre. TRT 1 launched the first season on November 8, 2021, followed by a second run starting in September 2022. Barış Arduç anchors the cast as the titular hero, supported by a strong ensemble including Fahriye Evcen and Mehmet Özgür. Director Sedat İnci guides the production with a focus on authenticity, while composer Gökhan Kırdar sets the tone with an opening theme that blends traditional Turkic instruments with modern orchestration.
