Sérgio Dias is widely regarded as one of Brazil's greatest guitarists. In 2012, Rolling Stone Brasil ranked him #7 on its list of the 100 Greatest Brazilian Guitarists. As a founding member of Os Mutantes, he helped create albums that consistently appear on lists of the greatest Brazilian records of all time, with the 1968 debut Os Mutantes ranked #1 by Rolling Stone Brasil. His innovative guitar work has influenced generations of musicians both in Brazil and internationally.
