Records
Sean Connery's career was marked by historic firsts and enduring achievements. He was the first Scottish actor to win an Academy Award, taking home the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for The Untouchables. He also won a BAFTA for The Name of the Rose and received the BAFTA Fellowship, the organization's highest honor. In 1996, he was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Golden Globe for lifetime achievement. His Tony Award for producing Art made him one of the few actors to win an Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Tony. He was knighted in 2000, becoming Sir Sean Connery.
