Sasaki and Peeps

Sasaki is a middle-aged corporate drone whose life is a gray loop of meetings and paperwork. That changes when he adopts a Java sparrow from a pet shop and names it Peeps. Unbeknownst to him, Peeps is actually a powerful sage from another world, reincarnated in bird form. With Peeps' magical abilities, Sasaki can now travel between modern Japan and a fantasy realm. He starts small, trading instant coffee and smartphones for gold and status, but quickly gets pulled into political schemes, magical battles, and a secret Japanese agency that monitors psychic phenomena.

The series is a blend of isekai adventure, workplace comedy, and supernatural action. Sasaki must juggle his day job with quests in the other world, all while hiding his double life from coworkers. The bond between Sasaki and Peeps forms the emotional core, as the bird's ancient wisdom contrasts with Sasaki's mundane salaryman perspective.
