Saori Anō

Saori Anō is a Japanese professional wrestler and actress currently signed to World Wonder Ring Stardom. She serves as a senior member of the Cosmic Angels stable and holds the distinction of being a two-time Wonder of Stardom Champion. Her career spans over a decade, establishing her as one of the most consistent and versatile competitors in the Joshi Puroresu scene.

Anō initially moved to Tokyo with dreams of becoming an actor but found her true calling in the ring. She quickly rose through the ranks of independent promotions before finding a permanent home in Stardom. Known for her well-rounded skill set that blends striking, grappling, and high-flying acrobatics, she has become a fan favorite for her ability to elevate matches against opponents of any caliber. [edit]

Before stepping into the spotlight of major wrestling promotions, Saori Anō lived a life centered on performance arts in Shiga Prefecture. Born on February 1, 1991, she spent her early years developing an interest in acting rather than athletics. After finishing high school, she relocated to Tokyo with the specific goal of pursuing a career in film and theater. The competitive nature of the entertainment industry eventually led her to explore other avenues where physical expression could take center stage.

Her transition to professional wrestling began quietly within the indie circuit. Anō started training and performing in smaller organizations like Actwres girl'Z around 2015. During these formative years, she honed a unique style that did not rely on a single gimmick or specialization. She worked freelance appearances for prominent groups such as Oz Academy and Ice Ribbon, proving her adaptability across different wrestling styles. These early years were defined by hard work and the gradual building of a reputation as a reliable performer who could deliver quality matches regardless of the opponent. [edit]

Her breakthrough arrived shortly after her debut in Actwres girl'Z when she captured the inaugural AWG Single Championship. This victory immediately marked her as a top-tier talent capable of carrying a promotion. She followed this success by moving to Ice Ribbon, where she added the ICE Cross Infinity Championship to her collection, further cementing her status as a multi-promotion champion.

Anō's tenure in World Wonder Ring Stardom represents the pinnacle of her career to date. Joining the roster as a key member of the Cosmic Angels stable, she competed at the highest level of women's wrestling in Japan. She won the prestigious Wonder of Stardom Championship twice, a title that signifies the absolute peak of achievement within the organization. Her fighting style evolved into a "jack-of-all-trades" approach, seamlessly mixing striker techniques with submission grappling and acrobatic maneuvers. As of August 2026, she remains an active competitor, highlighted by a highly anticipated match against her close friend Natsupoi at Ryogoku, demonstrating her continued relevance and longevity in the sport.
