Sally Pearson stands among Australia's greatest Olympians, having won gold in the 100m hurdles at London 2012 and silver at Beijing 2008. She is a two-time World Champion (2011, 2017) and two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist (2010, 2014). Her consistency and comeback from injury to win the 2017 world title are particularly admired. Pearson's OAM recognises her outstanding contribution to the sport.
