    Overview

The series follows a 14-year-old girl neglected by her parents, who feels utterly alone. One day, she is kidnapped by a man in his twenties, but she willingly stays with him because he offers the care and attention she never received at home. The narrative explores their co-dependent relationship, focusing on trauma, isolation, and the blurred lines between victimhood and consent.

Serialized in Gangan Pixiv from February 22, 2017, the manga concluded with its 11th volume on October 22, 2019, published by Square Enix. It gained over 75 million web page views by June 2017. A live-action drama adaptation, titled A Little Room for Hope, aired on TV Asahi in 2018 starring Anna Yamada and Shūhei Uesugi.

The series sparked debate for its controversial premise, with some praising its psychological depth and others condemning it as romanticizing abduction. It was nominated for the Next Manga Award in 2017. Hakuri also published a one-shot, Another Story, exploring a side character's perspective.
