Sabikui Bisco

Set in a world where rust consumes everything, Sabikui Bisco follows a young scavenger named Bisco who hunts for rare metals hidden within the decay. Shinji Kobkubo wrote this light novel series while K Akagishi provided the character designs and mocha handled the world-building illustrations. ASCII Media Works published the first volume on March 10, 2018, under their Dengeki Bunko label, eventually releasing ten volumes that explore themes of survival and hope. Yen Press holds the North American license for the English translation. The story blends dark fantasy with adventure as characters navigate a landscape turning to dust. A manga adaptation by Rokudo Takahashi ran from April 2019 to March 2021 in Square Enix's Manga UP! magazine, collecting into four volumes before a second part by Sō Natsuki continued the tale until October 2022. An anime adaptation produced by OZ aired during the winter of 2022, bringing the rust-covered world to life on screen.[edit]
