Awards Won

Ryan Lewis's legacy is cemented in the cultural impact of The Heist and the visual innovation he brought to hip-hop music videos. His work on Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us set new standards for music video direction, blending animation with live-action in ways that had not been seen before in the genre. The duo's success challenged the traditional music industry model, proving that independent artists could achieve massive commercial success without major label backing.

AwardsWhile the Grammy Awards are technically awarded to the group or the primary artist, Lewis's contributions were integral to these wins. He shares credit for four Grammy Awards won in 2014, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. These accolades recognize his work as the producer and director for the winning tracks.
