Rui Costa's career is marked by extraordinary consistency and elegance. He is one of only a handful of Portuguese players to win the UEFA Champions League, doing so with AC Milan in 2003. His inclusion in the FIFA 100 places him among the all-time greats. Costa is celebrated for his loyalty, having returned to Benfica as both player and president, and for his role in Portugal's golden generation that reached the Euro 2004 final. His vision and passing have inspired a generation of midfielders.
