Leshem's record is unusual for its range. The Sapir Prize put him at the top of Israeli letters at 29, and the Oscar nomination for Beaufort a year later made him one of the few novelists to see their own adaptation enter the international feature race. The Israeli Euphoria then became the rare foreign-language series to spawn a major American remake, and his executive producer credit on the HBO version brought a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2022. The Marvel assignment in 2026 marks his arrival in the franchise system.
