Robin Williams earned a rare EGOT-level distinction with an Academy Award, six Golden Globes, five Grammys, and two Emmys. His 1997 Oscar for Good Will Hunting crowned a dramatic turn that silenced any doubt about his range. He remains the only performer to win Golden Globes in four different acting categories (TV comedy, film comedy, and the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime honor). His five Grammy wins for comedy albums place him among the most decorated stand-up comedians in recording history. The American Film Institute ranked his Genie in Aladdin as one of the greatest screen characters, and Comedy Central named him the greatest stand-up of all time in 2005.
