The game launched on March 27, 2015, in Europe and later in North America on October 6, 2015. It arrived on a wide range of platforms, including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. As a pure racing simulation, Ride focused on authentic motorcycle performance and rider control, allowing players to customize their bikes and gear to fine-tune their racing setup. Players can customize their bikes with performance parts (engine, suspension, brakes, tires) and modify their rider's appearance (helmets, suits, gloves, boots). The career mode structures progression through championships across multiple difficulty tiers, unlocking new bikes, tracks, and gear. Online multiplayer supports up to 12 players in standard races, custom lobbies, and ranked matchmaking, though it uses a peer-to-peer connection model that sometimes causes latency issues.
