His keyboard work on albums like The Dark Side of the Moon and The Division Bell helped define the sound of progressive rock. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, both as a member of Pink Floyd.
