Records
Montgomery's career is marked by historic firsts. She was the first WNBA player to become a team owner and executive. She is also the first female owner in the Fan Controlled Football league. On the court, she won two WNBA championships and an NCAA title, earning Final Four MOP honors. In 2021, Montgomery joined the Atlanta Dream ownership group as vice president and part-owner, a historic first for a former WNBA player.
First female owner in Fan Controlled Football league
In 2022, Montgomery became co-owner of the FCF Beasts, making her the first woman to hold an ownership stake in the league.
First athlete to receive Champion of Justice Award
In 2024, the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law awarded Montgomery its Champion of Justice Award, making her the first athlete to receive the honor.
