Reincarnated as a Sword

Yuu Tanaka's light novel series began as a web serial on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in October 2015 before Micro Magazine released the first printed volume on July 30, 2016. The story follows a man who dies and wakes up inside a sentient sword named Fran. This unique setup drives a fantasy adventure where the blade partners with a cat-like beast girl named Phi to hunt monsters and grow stronger together. Tanaka wrote the main text while artist Llo provided the illustrations for the initial run. The project later expanded into manga adaptations by Tomowo Maruyama and Hinako Inoue, with Seven Seas Entertainment handling North American releases for both formats. An anime adaptation produced by C2C aired from October to December 2022, and fans await a second season scheduled for October 2026.[edit]
