Re:bel Robotica

Re:bel Robotica (Japanese: レベルロボチカ, Hepburn: Reberu Robochika), stylized as RE:BEL ROBOTICA, is a Japanese mixed-media project created by illustrator Mika Pikazo and writer Arch. What began as a self-published doujinshi sold at Summer Comiket in August 2017 has grown into a full-fledged franchise spanning novels and an upcoming anime series. The project officially launched in December 2019 with its website and a serialized novel, and two novels written by Ryō Yoshigami and Gakuto Mikumo were published by Shinchosha under their Shincho Bunko nex imprint in September 2022.

The story unfolds in Shibuya, Tokyo, in the year 2050, a near-future setting where technological advances have enabled the creation of androids called "Robotica," made in the very likeness of humans. The narrative centers on Lily, an enigmatic girl whose existence is said to shake the world. The franchise blends science fiction with action, mystery, and human emotion, with a focus on rebellion. The official website is available in Japanese, English, French, and Traditional Chinese, indicating an intentional international audience strategy.

The most significant development is the anime adaptation. Announced in June 2026, the original TV anime is set to premiere in 2027. On July 5, 2026, the first teaser trailer and visual were released, with Shin Ōnuma serving as general director and Kōki Onoue directing at animation studio SILVER LINK. The teaser features music by Yuki Kajiura. The production is supported by Amuse Creative Studio, a subsidiary of Amuse, Inc., focused on entertainment IP creation and cross-media adaptations. The project was showcased at Anime Expo 2026, where the teaser was first shown.
