Raoh

Born on the brutal island of Shura, Raoh lost his mother at a young age and was taken in by Ryuken, the 63rd successor of Hokuto Shinken. He trained alongside three honorary brothers: Toki, Jagi, and Kenshiro. As the eldest, Raoh was the most powerful and ambitious, but his thirst for conquest led Ryuken to choose Kenshiro as the rightful successor. Rejected, Raoh abandoned the pure ideals of Hokuto Shinken and adopted the alias Ken-Oh, building a vast army to conquer the post-apocalyptic wasteland. [edit]

Raoh is driven by an unyielding belief in absolute strength and conquest. He values power above all, viewing mercy as weakness. Yet beneath his iron exterior lies a deep sense of honor and a capacity for sorrow, especially regarding his brothers. He is stoic, commanding, and fiercely proud, but also capable of respect for worthy opponents. [edit]

Raoh's arc begins with his conquest of the wasteland, establishing himself as the Fist King. He confronts and defeats his brother Toki in a tragic battle, despite his affection for him. His rivalry with Kenshiro escalates, culminating in a legendary final duel. In that fight, Kenshiro masters Muso Tensei, a technique that transcends brute force, and defeats Raoh. Raoh dies standing, declaring he has no regrets, having achieved his lifelong goal of dying without regret. His legacy continues in spin-off works like the 2007 film Legend of Raoh.[edit]

Raoh remains one of the most beloved and iconic antagonists in manga and anime history. His popularity is evidenced by the sheer volume of merchandise and collaborations released over the decades. In May 2026, Seiko released collaboration watches inspired by Kenshiro and Raoh. In June 2026, the Ichiban Kuji lottery featured Raoh MASTERLISE figures as top prizes. In March 2026, MEDICOM TOY released a LEGEND VINYL WARRIORS Raoh soft vinyl figure.
