Rafael Espinoza

Awards Won

Espinoza's achievement is the classic boxing underdog story: an unknown Mexican fighter who spent years on small shows before dethroning an Olympic gold medalist for a world title. He has since defended the WBO featherweight belt multiple times and become a target for unification fights, all while carrying an unusual 6 ft 1 in frame at 126 pounds.

AwardsEspinoza's principal honor is the WBO featherweight world championship, which he won against Robeisy Ramirez in December 2023 and has defended successfully multiple times. No other major sanctioning-body titles or awards are documented.
