Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht, more commonly known as RSCA, is a Belgian professional football club based in the municipality of Anderlecht in Brussels. Competing in the Belgian First Division A, the club holds the distinction of being the most successful Belgian team in both domestic and European competitions. Founded on May 27, 1908, by twelve football enthusiasts meeting at Café Concordia, Anderlecht has a storied history marked by numerous titles and consistent performance at the highest level.

The club's impressive trophy haul includes a record 34 Belgian league championships and nine Belgian Cups. In European tournaments, Anderlecht has secured five titles, featuring two Cup Winners' Cups and two UEFA Cups. They also hold the record for the most consecutive Belgian league titles, achieving five in a row between the 1963–64 and 1967–68 seasons. Their consistent presence in the top flight began in the 1921–22 season, with an unbroken run in the first division since 1935–36.

Anderlecht's home ground is Lotto Park, situated in Astrid Park. The stadium, originally named the Emile Versé Stadium when built in 1917, was replaced by the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in 1983 and later renamed Lotto Park in 2019. It has a seating capacity of 22,500. The club's colors are purple and white, reflected in their popular nicknames 'Purple & White' and 'Sporting'. Founded on May 27, 1908, by twelve football fans at Café Concordia in Brussels, R.S.C. Anderlecht quickly established itself as a prominent force in Belgian football. The club first ascended to the top division of Belgian football during the 1921–22 season. After a period of rebuilding, Anderlecht secured its first major trophy, the league championship, in the 1946–47 season, shortly following the conclusion of World War II. This marked the beginning of an era of sustained success.

The club achieved a national record by winning five consecutive Belgian league titles from the 1963–64 season to the 1967–68 season. In European competitions, Anderlecht has also achieved significant success, making them the most decorated Belgian club on the continental stage. Their European trophy collection includes two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups and two UEFA Cups. The club consistently finished in the top six of the Belgian first division for many years, though they experienced an 8th-place finish in the 2019–20 season and an 11th-place finish in the 2022–23 season. Internationally, Anderlecht ranks 14th in all-time UEFA club competition winners and was recognized as tenth in the IFFHS continental clubs of the 20th century ranking. Their peak UEFA ranking was achieved in 1986, when they shared the top spot with Juventus.

Anderlecht plays its home matches at Lotto Park, located in the Astrid Park. The stadium, originally known as the Emile Versé Stadium upon its construction in 1917, was succeeded by the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, which opened in 1983.
