Quim Torra

Quim Torra's most significant achievement is his election as the 131st President of the Government of Catalonia, a role that placed him at the centre of a historic political conflict with Spain. His presidency, though brief, was marked by his steadfast commitment to the independence cause, and his refusal to comply with judicial orders made him a symbol of resistance for many Catalans. While he has not amassed traditional awards or honours, his impact on Catalan politics is undeniable, and he remains a respected figure within the independence movement.
