Bugatti Centodieci

Bugatti pulled the wraps off the Centodieci in August 2019 at The Quail, a motorsports gathering in California, and the car instantly became the talk of Monterey Car Week. The name means "110" in Italian, a nod to both the Bugatti EB 110 supercar of the 1990s and the marque's 110th birthday. Only ten examples were built, each priced around €8 million (roughly $10 million at the time), making it one of the most exclusive and expensive new cars of its era.

Under the wedge-shaped body lies an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, the same family found in the Chiron, but here tuned to deliver 1,578 horsepower at 7,000 rpm. Bugatti also shaved 20 kilograms off the Chiron's curb weight, helping the Centodieci sprint with ferocious intent. The design borrows sharp lines and a five-hole side intake from the EB 110, but updates them with modern aerodynamics and LED lighting.

With just ten units sold to a select group of collectors, the Centodieci isn't just a car; it's a piece of automotive history. Bugatti positioned it as a tribute, not a successor, and its rarity ensures it will remain a museum piece for the ultra-wealthy.
