Princess Fiona was born to King Harold and Queen Lillian of Far Far Away. As a child, she was placed under a curse by a witch: by night she would transform into an ogre, and only true love's kiss could break the spell. To protect her and ensure the curse could be broken, her parents locked her in a tower guarded by a dragon, where she waited for a prince to rescue her.
