Prem Warut Chawalitrujiwong

Prem Warut Chawalitrujiwong is a Thai actor and singer who has become one of the most recognizable faces in the modern GMMTV roster. Born on March 8, 1998, he rose to prominence through his leading roles in Boy's Love dramas that have captivated audiences across Southeast Asia and beyond. As of 2026, Prem stands as a dominant force in Thai entertainment, known for his ability to portray complex emotional arcs and his striking screen presence.

His career trajectory is marked by a shift from athletic ambition to artistic expression. Before stepping into the spotlight, he was a competitive golfer with regional accolades. Today, he balances a demanding schedule of film and television projects with a massive social media following that exceeds three million followers on Instagram. His work often explores themes of love, loss, and identity, resonating deeply with a global fanbase that tracks his every move. [edit]

Before entering the world of show business, Prem had a completely different path mapped out for himself. He was not initially interested in acting or singing; instead, his passion lay entirely in sports. Growing up in Thailand, he dedicated years to golf, training rigorously to compete at a professional level. His talent in the sport was evident early on, leading him to achieve significant success in the youth circuit. He secured a gold medal in the under-18 category at matches organized by the Thailand Golf Association, establishing himself as a regional champion.

This athletic background gave him a distinct physical presence and discipline that would later serve him well on set. While he was competing on the golf course, he also pursued higher education. He enrolled at Kasetsart University to study at the Faculty of Economics, balancing academic responsibilities with his sporting ambitions. It was during this period that his interests began to shift. The structured life of an athlete eventually gave way to a desire for creative expression, prompting him to explore opportunities in the entertainment industry around 2017. This pivot from the fairway to the film set marked the beginning of a new chapter that would redefine his future. [edit]

Prem made his official debut in the entertainment industry in 2017 with Goblin Project, a project that introduced him to the public eye as part of a boy band initiative. Although this initial venture provided exposure, it was his transition to dramatic acting that truly launched his stardom. In 2019, he gained widespread recognition for his role as Khun in the hit BL series Until We Meet Again. The show became a cultural phenomenon in Southeast Asia, and Prem's portrayal of a character navigating tragedy and romance earned him a devoted following.

He continued to build momentum with appearances in You Never Eat Alone in 2020 and Once Upon A Time in 2021. However, it was his performance in Between Us in 2022 that solidified his status as a top-tier star in the genre. Critics and fans alike praised his ability to convey deep emotion and vulnerability. The series' success led to a special episode featuring his character, further cementing his popularity. By 2025, Prem had expanded his range beyond romantic dramas, taking on roles in thriller and fantasy genres with projects like Revamp: The Undead Story and Mu-Te-Luv. These roles demonstrated his versatility and confirmed his position as one of the most bankable actors in the Thai industry. [edit]

Prem is widely regarded as a humble and hardworking star who successfully bridged the gap between athletics and acting. His public image is that of a "golden boy," characterized by a tall, athletic build and a friendly demeanor. He blends casual streetwear with high-fashion looks, reflecting his modeling work and influence on Thai fashion trends. Media outlets often describe him as talented and grounded, noting that he avoids scandalous headlines in favor of focusing on his craft. His signature style and genuine personality have made him a favorite among both critics and fans. [edit]

Fans are known for organizing streaming campaigns and view parties to boost the ratings of his dramas. During his birthday on March 8, supporters launch massive digital and physical campaigns, including billboards and subway ads in Bangkok. The community frequently engages in inside jokes about his golfing past and his on-screen chemistry with co-stars. This intense level of engagement has helped sustain his popularity across multiple seasons and projects. [edit]

Before becoming an actor, Prem was a regional gold champion in the youth under-18 category at TGA matches, showcasing his dedication to golf before pivoting careers. He studied Economics at Kasetsart University while simultaneously building his acting career, a feat that required immense time management.
