Planet Her

Doja Cat's third studio album, Planet Her, landed on June 25, 2021, via Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. The title refers to a fictional planet she invented, and the music lives up to that otherworldly premise. Across 14 tracks (18 on the deluxe), she glides between contemporary R&B, pop, and hip-hop, often within the same song. Lyrically, the record touches on femininity, solitude, romance, and sexuality, all delivered with her trademark wit and vocal flexibility. Guest features include Young Thug, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, JID, and SZA, with Eve and Gunna appearing on the deluxe edition. Doja served as executive producer alongside her frequent collaborator Yeti Beats, with production from Al Shux, Dr. Luke, Aaron Bow, and Rogét Chahayed, among others.

The album's five singles, "Kiss Me More," "You Right," "Need to Know," "Woman," and "Get into It (Yuh)", all cracked the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. Planet Her topped the charts in New Zealand and peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200, where it spent four non-consecutive weeks. It wrapped 2021 as the world's tenth best-selling album. Critics praised its sonic versatility and Doja's range, and the deluxe edition earned nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. In May 2026, the album made history by becoming the longest-charting female rap album on the Billboard 200, surpassing Cardi B's "Privacy", a remarkable feat for a record nearly five years old. [edit]
