Aubameyang is the first and only Gabonese player to win the African Footballer of the Year award, a feat he achieved in 2015. He is also Gabon's all-time leading scorer with 40 international goals. In the Premier League, he shares the record for the fastest goal ever scored (12 seconds). His 31-goal Bundesliga season in 2016–17 remains one of the most prolific in the league's history. He has won top-flight titles in three different countries: Germany (DFB-Pokal), England (FA Cup), and Spain (La Liga).
