Rucker's four Pulitzer Prizes place him among the most decorated journalists of his generation. He is one of a very small number of reporters to have been part of Pulitzer-winning teams in three different categories: National Reporting, Public Service, and Breaking News. His two books with Carol Leonnig both reached No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list, a rare feat for non-fiction collaborations.
