Pete Fry

Pete Fry's most significant achievement is his election as the first Green Party mayor of Vancouver in 2026. This historic victory marked a pivotal moment in the city's political landscape, breaking a long-standing dominance of other parties in mayoral races. His ability to mobilize a grassroots movement and defeat a popular incumbent demonstrates a unique capacity for leadership and community organizing. While he has not yet accumulated traditional awards, his impact on the city's direction and his role in shifting the political tide are widely recognized as major accomplishments in modern Canadian municipal politics.
