PENTA Zero Miedo

PENTA Zero Miedo is a Mexican luchador (masked professional wrestler) currently signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Penta. Known for his high-flying, hard-hitting style and his signature catchphrase "Cero Miedo" (Zero Fear), he has become one of the most recognizable masked wrestlers in the world. Over his nearly two-decade career, he has held championships in AAA, Impact Wrestling, AEW, Lucha Underground, and other major promotions. As of 2026, he is a prominent member of WWE's Raw brand, where he debuted in January 2025 to massive fan acclaim. His intense persona, innovative offense, and refusal to ever be unmasked have made him a cult favorite among wrestling fans. [edit]

Penta made his professional wrestling debut in 2007 under the ring name Zairus (also spelled Zaius) on the Mexican independent circuit. He trained under respected luchadors including Cuchillo, Gran Apache, Skayde, and his uncle Blue Demon Jr. Before wrestling became his full-time career, he worked as a market porter to make ends meet. In his early years, he wrestled under various names: Hijo del Cuchillo (2009-2011), Dark Dragon (2011-2013), and finally Pentagón Jr. in 2012. His big break came in 2014 when he signed with Lucha Underground, a U.S. television series that brought lucha libre to a broader American audience. To take that opportunity, he obtained a legal visa to work in the United States, which required him to make amends with his past. [edit]

Penta's career took off in 2014 when he joined Lucha Underground as the villainous Pentagón Jr., a character who would break opponents' arms after defeating them. In 2015, he formed the Lucha Brothers tag team with his brother Rey Fénix. After leaving AAA in 2017 due to trademark issues over the Pentagón Jr. name, he adopted the name Penta El Zero M (Cero Miedo) and formed the stable La Rebelión. He won the Impact World Championship and Impact World Tag Team Championship in 2018-2019. In 2020, he signed with AEW and formed the Death Triangle stable with PAC and Rey Fénix, winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship in 2021 and the AEW World Trios Championship in 2023. After his AEW contract ended in late 2024, he signed with WWE and debuted on Raw on January 13, 2025, defeating Chad Gable. As of 2026, he continues to wrestle on Raw. [edit]

Penta is known for his aggressive, high-flying lucha libre style and his elaborate, colorful masks, often in red, black, and white. His persona is that of a fearless, ruthless competitor who shows no mercy. Wrestling media portrays him as one of the most exciting in-ring performers, with ESPN profiling his journey from Mexico to WWE as a story of perseverance. Fans chant "Cero Miedo" during his entrances and make the zero hand gesture. His social media voice on Instagram promotes his wrestling career, gym, and merchandise, representing himself as a WWE superstar and lucha libre icon. [edit]

Penta El Zero Miedo commands a global following defined less by a specific tribal moniker and more by an adherence to the "Cero Miedo" philosophy. His supporters, spanning wrestling purists and crossover pop culture enthusiasts, identify primarily through their shared appreciation for his unmasked persona and high-risk aerial style rather than a collective name like "The Cult." While fans frequently chant his catchphrase and mimic the zero-hand gesture during entrances, these acts serve as tributes to the performer's identity rather than rituals of a distinct fan club organization. The audience is characterized by a deep respect for his longevity and refusal to be unmasked in Lucha de Apuestas matches, viewing him as a guardian of traditional lucha libre values within the modern WWE landscape. Recent cultural moments, such as his collaboration with Bad Bunny and his dramatic return from injury, have further solidified his status as a crossover icon without necessitating a formalized fandom structure. Despite his prominence on Raw and his extensive international touring, the iFANN Global Fame Engine has evaluated Penta El Zero Miedo but does not currently hold a placement for him in the published rankings. Consequently, he is not listed in the Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list at this time. This absence of a ranked position reflects the current data state rather than a lack of recognition among his dedicated base.[edit]

Penta's signature phrase translates to "Zero Fear," often accompanied by a hand gesture forming a zero with the thumb and forefinger. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is a close friend who adopts the "Cero Miedo" taunt during NFL games. Throughout his career, he has utilized over a dozen ring names, including Zairus, Dark Dragon, Pentagón Dark, Penta Oscuro, and Lucha Brother. His masks are custom-crafted by Roberto "Nenuco" Rivero, a collaborator of nearly two decades, and Penta has never lost his mask in a Lucha de Apuestas match. He established his own wrestling school in Mexico in 2020. Legendary accounts of his resilience include a shoulder injury on Raw that halted a contest, followed by a widely retold narrative of his return described as rising stronger from the fire. A viral moment occurred when he publicly labeled Dominik Mysterio a "fake" during a confrontation on Raw, sparking debate about authenticity in wrestling storylines. Additionally, his appearance alongside Bad Bunny blended music and wrestling cultures, resonating deeply with Mexican audiences. A recurring theme in recent lore involves the disruption of a highly anticipated reunion with the Lucha Brothers, which became a point of discussion regarding WWE booking unpredictability.[edit]

Penta has two brothers who are also luchadors: Rey Fénix, his longtime tag team partner, and Ikaro. His uncle is Blue Demon Jr., a legendary luchador. Penta keeps his real name private, as is traditional for masked luchadors in Mexico. He has not publicly confirmed any spouse, partner, or children. He owns a gym called Zero Miedo Gym and a venue called Arena del Valle MX. [edit]

Penta is best known for his tag team with his brother Rey Fénix as the Lucha Brothers, and his stable Death Triangle in AEW alongside PAC and Fénix. He has a close friendship with NFL tight end George Kittle, who uses his Cero Miedo taunt. His uncle is luchador Blue Demon Jr. He had a notable rivalry with Vampiro in Lucha Underground. [edit]

Penta is extremely private about his personal life, and no confirmed public romantic relationships have been reported by credible sources. As a masked luchador who maintains kayfabe and privacy, he has not publicly discussed dating history, marriage, or children. There are no confirmed partners, engagements, marriages, divorces, or children on record. As of 2026, his relationship status is unknown and not publicly disclosed. [edit]

Updated for 2026, research by the iFANN Editorial Team estimates Penta's net worth at $2 Million. His financial standing is anchored by his WWE contract signed in January 2025, where main roster salaries typically range between $250,000 and $1 million annually. Previous earnings stem from his tenure in AEW from 2020 to 2024, supplemented by independent appearances and merchandise sales featuring masks, t-shirts, and action figures. Business ventures include the Zero Miedo Gym and Arena del Valle MX, while international touring in Mexico, Japan, and other markets provides additional revenue streams. His wealth has increased steadily since his debut on Raw, reflecting his status as an active, living performer with no estate value.[edit]
