At Oregon, he became the nation's top point guard, earning the Bob Cousy Award. In the NBA, he transformed from a late first-round pick into a Sixth Man of the Year winner and an NBA champion. His eight three-pointers in a 2025–26 game tied a Celtics franchise record, showing his shooting prowess.
