Paul Hester's legacy is defined by his integral role in shaping the sound of Australian rock music. As a founding member of Crowded House, he helped create some of the most enduring hits in the country's history. His induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame stands as a testament to the band's collective impact, while his inclusion in the "100 Greatest Australians" list highlights his unique contribution to both music and television culture. His ability to transition seamlessly from a high-energy rock drummer to a gentle children's TV presenter remains a remarkable feat in the entertainment industry.

AwardsWhile Paul Hester did not win individual awards during his lifetime for his drumming or acting, his contributions have been recognized posthumously. He was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame as a member of Crowded House in 2005. In the same year, he was named one of the "100 Greatest Australians" by the National Film and Sound Archive. In 2010, he received a special tribute from the Victorian Government for his service to the arts.
