Park Chan-wook is one of the most decorated Korean directors in history. He is the only Korean filmmaker to win three major Cannes prizes: the Grand Prix, the Jury Prize, and Best Director. His film Oldboy frequently appears on lists of the greatest films ever made, including Sight & Sound and Empire.
