Records
Paolo Banchero's rookie season was historic for the Orlando Magic. He became only the second player in franchise history to win NBA Rookie of the Year, joining Shaquille O'Neal. In his second season he earned an All-Star selection, the first Magic player to do so since 2021. His five-year, $207 million rookie max extension is the largest contract ever signed by a Magic player. Banchero also represented Italy at EuroBasket 2022 and was named to the Time 100 Next list in 2023, highlighting his influence beyond basketball.
