Ulises Guerriero is an Argentine singer, drummer, producer, and composer known professionally as Paco Amoroso. He stands as one half of the experimental musical duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso alongside his childhood friend Catriel Guerreiro. The pair has become a defining force in Latin alternative music, blending trap, hip-hop, electronic dance, and pop into a sound that defies traditional genre boundaries.

As of 2026, Paco remains a central figure in Buenos Aires' underground scene while commanding international attention. His work is characterized by rhythmic complexity derived from his background as a drummer and a lyrical approach that often tackles spiritual and existential themes. With streaming numbers climbing globally and high-profile collaborations, he continues to push the boundaries of what Latin urban music can be. [edit]

Ulises Guerriero entered the world on August 17, 1993, in the bustling streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From the very beginning, his life was intertwined with that of Catriel Guerreiro, a boy who would eventually become his musical partner under the stage name Ca7riel. These two grew up inseparable in the same neighborhood, sharing a deep bond that extended far beyond typical friendship. Their childhood was defined by a mutual obsession with music that started long before they ever stepped onto a professional stage.

Paco's early musical development was rooted in rhythm. Before he became a frontman or a songwriter, he spent countless hours behind a drum kit, honing the percussive skills that would later define the duo's unique sonic identity. While other kids played video games or sports, Paco and Catriel were experimenting with beats and melodies in their home. They absorbed influences ranging from local Argentine rock to American hip-hop and electronic sounds, creating a personal library of styles that felt distinct from the mainstream reggaeton dominating the airwaves at the time.

Their transition from bedroom hobbyists to serious musicians happened organically within the city's vibrant underground circuit. They began performing locally in small venues and house parties, testing their chemistry and refining a sound that mixed aggressive trap beats with melodic hooks. This period of intense practice and experimentation laid the groundwork for their eventual breakthrough. By the time they decided to formalize their partnership, they had already spent years building a shared language through music, ensuring that when they finally released their debut album Papota, it sounded like a natural evolution rather than a manufactured product. [edit]

The professional journey of Paco Amoroso accelerated rapidly once he and Catriel solidified their partnership as Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso. Their debut album Papota served as the catalyst, introducing a raw, experimental sound that immediately set them apart in the crowded Latin music landscape. The project received critical acclaim for its willingness to blend genres and tackle complex subjects, establishing the duo as pioneers of a new wave of Argentine alternative music.

Following their debut, the duo expanded their reach beyond Argentina's borders. They secured slots at major international festivals and began collaborating with established artists who recognized their innovative approach. One notable collaboration involved working with legendary rock icon Sting on the track Hasta Jesús tuvo un mal día, a pairing that highlighted Paco's versatility and ability to bridge generational gaps in music. These partnerships helped elevate their profile significantly, proving that their niche sound could resonate with global audiences.

In recent years, Paco's career has reached new heights of commercial viability without sacrificing artistic integrity. In September 2026, the duo made headlines by being selected for the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto VI, appearing alongside massive stars like Rauw Alejandro. This placement marked a significant milestone, integrating their music into one of the most-watched gaming franchises in history. Shortly after, Harry Styles announced that Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso would serve as opening acts for his 2027 "Together, Together" stadium tour, a move that promised exposure to millions of fans worldwide. Their momentum continued with a global brand strategy deal with Puma in late 2026, cementing their status as cultural icons who influence both music and fashion. As of now, Paco continues to headline major events like PortAmérica Latitudes and FIM GDL, solidifying his position as a leading voice in contemporary Latin music. [edit]

Paco Amoroso projects an image of authenticity and innovation. He is viewed as a humble yet groundbreaking figure who successfully transported the gritty underground scene of Buenos Aires to the global stage. On social media, he maintains a presence that feels direct and personal, often sharing glimpses of his creative process and live performance moments rather than polished promotional content. [edit]

iFANN has evaluated this person but they do not currently hold a published placement in the Global Top 1,000 rankings as of September 2026. Despite this lack of a specific numeric rank, Paco Amoroso's influence is undeniable given his recent inclusion in the Grand Theft Auto VI soundtrack and his selection as an opener for Harry Styles' 2027 world tour. These milestones signal a surge in global recognition that places him among the most exciting emerging voices in Latin music.

His drumming background allows him to craft beats that are unusually intricate for the trap and reggaeton genres.
