The Outlawz hold a distinguished place in hip-hop history as the core family of Tupac Shakur. While they do not hold individual Guinness World Records, their collective impact is recognized by institutions like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which inducted Tupac in 2017 acknowledging the role of his crew. Their work on All Eyez on Me helped it become the first hip-hop album certified Diamond by the RIAA. They are frequently listed among the top 10 most influential hip-hop collectives of the 1990s by publications like Rolling Stone and Complex.

AwardsThe Outlawz have not won major individual awards for their own solo work, but their contributions were integral to several historic wins for Tupac Shakur. Notable accolades include the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for All Eyez on Me in 1997. They also contributed to the MTV Video Music Award win for Best Male Video for "Changes" in 1999. Additionally, multiple Billboard Music Awards were awarded to albums heavily featuring the group.
