Oriadé

Nigerian superstar Davido dropped his sixth studio album Oriadé on July 31, 2026. The title translates from Yoruba as 'The Crowned Destiny' and marks the start of what he calls his 'Crown Era.' Distributed through his own imprint Davido Music Worldwide alongside Sony Music Entertainment, the record blends high-energy Afrobeats with Afro-R&B, Highlife, and global pop sounds. Critics describe it as a sonic homecoming that honors his early roots while embracing contemporary textures.

This project serves as a victory lap celebrating fifteen years in the music industry. It became Davido's fifth project to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify shortly after release. The tracklist features thirteen songs including guest appearances from Leon Thomas, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, Fola, Llona, No11, Jazzwrld, and GL_Ceejay. Promotional singles like I Know Who I Be and Gimme Dat Ting set the tone for an exploration of personal growth and cultural pride. [edit]
