Omer Bhatti

Bhatti's record is not one of trophies. It is the rarer thing of having been present at a specific moment in pop history and still being asked about it thirty years later. He was a child dancer from Drammen taken into Michael Jackson's organization during the HIStory era, on stage with him in Tunisia in 1996 and filmed with him in South Africa in 1997. In 2016 he released a single produced by Jackson's own son, a collaboration with no real precedent. Add a season judging Norske Talenter and a fanbase that has stayed with him since the Clinton administration, and the case for distinction rests on longevity and circumstance rather than silverware.
