Olivier Richters

Olivier Richters is a Dutch professional bodybuilder and actor who has carved out a unique space in Hollywood as one of the tallest men to work on major film sets. Known globally by his nickname The Dutch Giant, he stands at an imposing 7 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 353 pounds. His career began in the strength sports community where he dominated competitions with his natural physique before transitioning to acting in 2021.

His breakthrough came when Marvel cast him as Ursa in Black Widow, a role that required a massive physical presence without relying on CGI. Since then, he has appeared in high-profile franchises including The King's Man, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and the Amazon Prime series Reacher. Casting directors value his authentic size, which allows for realistic fight choreography and character interactions that standard actors cannot replicate. [edit]

Born in Hilversum, Netherlands, Olivier Richters grew up with a naturally large frame that set him apart from his peers early on. Unlike many athletes who train specifically to gain mass, his height and build were innate traits that he refined through dedicated discipline. He pursued competitive bodybuilding professionally, entering various tournaments where his stature made him a standout competitor. His time in the fitness world was defined by rigorous training regimens and a focus on nutrition that supported his massive muscle mass.

Richters did not suffer from acromegaly or any medical condition causing abnormal growth; instead, he simply possessed a genetic predisposition for size that he honed into a professional asset. His rise in the strength community culminated in recognition from Guinness World Records as the tallest male professional bodybuilder. This period established his brand identity long before he ever stepped onto a movie set. He built a significant social media following during these years, sharing workout routines and diet plans that attracted fans interested in fitness and his unique physiology. [edit]

The year 2021 marked a pivotal shift in Richters' life as he transitioned from athlete to actor. His first major role was as Ursa in the Marvel Cin Universe film Black Widow, where his physicality provided a genuine threat on screen. Following this debut, he quickly secured roles in two other 2021 releases: the spy thriller The King's Man and the biographical drama The Electrical Life of Louis Wain.

Momentum continued into 2023 when he joined Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, further cementing his reputation as a go-to choice for giant characters in blockbuster productions. In 2025, he returned to the action genre in the third season of the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher, playing the antagonist Paulie. The production team utilized practical effects and camera angles to ensure his fight scenes with co-star Alan Ritchson felt real and grounded. Recent developments in late 2026 see him promoting the new Street Fighter movie and expressing interest in playing Tyr in the upcoming live-action God of War TV show. [edit]

He actively engages with fans through his YouTube channel, where he shares behind-the-scenes content and fitness advice. His public persona is built on authenticity, showing viewers exactly what it takes to maintain his massive frame.
