Dumezweni's career is a study in excellence. She is one of the few actresses to win two Laurence Olivier Awards, Britain's highest theatre honor. Her portrayal of Hermione Granger was historic, making her the first Black actress to play the role in a major production, and she did so with such authority that she earned a Tony nomination.
